Helen Johnson nee Nemitz, age 70, of Dyer, IN, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012. Beloved wife of Gerald Johnson. Devoted mother of Katherine (Kevin) McGuffin, Jerilynne Johnson, Wayne (Sharon) Johnson, Roseann (Gene) Backlin, Jacqueline (Dan) Burns, Virginia Johnson, Gerald (Elizabeth) Johnson Jr., and Wendy (Duane) Borcherding. Proud grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of two. Dear sister of seven brothers and five sisters. Memorial visitation Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311 with services conducted by Deacon Jim Renwick. Interment private. Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society appreciated.
